More than ever, the importance of getting Year 7 learners off to a great start in their new school is vital. This course will look at the issues facing the school as a whole and the head of Year 7 in particular. We will explore a range of practical skills necessary for a head of year and share evidence-based best practice, taking into account the most up-to-date advice and practical experience from a range of schools.
Throughout this course, we will be considering any of the latest updates from the government or from Ofsted that relate to the well-being and the academic achievement of our year 7 students. You will go away with a series of practical, tried and trusted approaches that develop and sequence the planning and the actions needed to get year 7 off to a good start.
