Learners may struggle with English language and literature in Key Stages 3 and 4 due to a range of issues such as fluency, problems with comprehension, speed of processing, past experiences, and their attitude to English. This course will provide positive, engaging and practical ideas to re-engage learners in English as well as exploring approaches to teaching mixed-ability classes.
This course will not only give you lots of practical ideas to help engage and motivate learners who may be struggling with certain aspects of English language and literature but also a chance to explore why this might happen in the first place and what we can do to prevent problems in the future.
