Geography is an enjoyable subject for most primary school children, but Ofsted has raised concerns about the narrowing of coverage and the poor retention of knowledge. This engaging three-part series suggests ways that you can deepen your class’s geography beyond map skills and simple locational knowledge, towards a richer understanding of ‘place’ and ‘process’, and a more purposeful fieldwork provision.
This three-part programme supports primary practitioners to improve their teaching of geography. Each session is about two hours long but supports half a day of reflection and development.
