The current inspection framework has, alongside everything else, helped us to collectively reflect on what good teaching is - or more importantly, what good LEARNING is.  How can we ensure our pupils are retaining - and applying - what they have ‘learned’ in any given subject, topic, or year? Through a core focus on knowledge acquisition and application, this training session will provide teachers and leaders with a range of proven approaches, including:

• A series of active ‘do now’ strategies to share with teachers to support learning
• Successful approaches, supporting staff towards connected learning - regardless of pupil need or age
• Simple, sustainable long-term AND short-term assessment and questioning ideas that work to improve functional recall and application
