Each year there are about 12,000 sexual assaults against girls under the age of 18. Two thirds of our girls experience sexual harassment at school and one in four are subjected to unwanted touching. This training day complements our other safeguarding courses by looking longer term, giving you practical approaches to implement at primary level to empower girls and educate boys.
What can we do with the youngest children to teach about consent, and protect them against sexist objectification and discrimination in the future? How do we empower our girls to stay safe and educate our boys to act more appropriately, especially when the mention of “sex” is so controversial in the primary years?
