Creative Outdoor Learning will support any member of staff in the development of an outdoor learning ethos at your school. This course provides you with a range of activity ideas and additional resources. These will help you support inclusion, pupils with SEND and improve behaviour for learning across the primary curriculum. You will leave with increased motivation, skills and knowledge to harness the outdoor environment to promote children's learning.

About this course

Let's take learning outdoors. Creative Outdoor Learning is a practical course providing ideas, activities and approaches. It aims to support any member of staff wishing to develop an outdoor ethos or approach in their setting or school.

It is through creativity, cognitive challenge and practical application that learning skills are developed. We look at how to make the most of the outdoor environment.

  • Explore how to inspire your pupils to find learning opportunities everywhere.
  • Understand the philosophy, research and principles surrounding outdoor learning.
  • Experience practical activities and knowledge of how and where to acquire resources on a minimal budget.
  • Reflect on and create plans for moving forward in your own setting/school.
