About this course

Ofsted’s new Inspection Framework places a great emphasis on vocabulary: its acquisition, retention, and sophistication of use. This provides a challenge for children, especially those from more disadvantaged backgrounds.

This is our second vocabulary course for teachers and it will:

  • Give you dozens of practical vocabulary strategies; 
  • Suggest how to move children towards conceptual nuance in their vocabulary; 
  • Link vocabulary to subject context and progression.
