About this workshop

Use the lessons learned from this year’s Reading SAT paper to address the key barriers to children's success and develop the important skills all of your children need for next year and beyond.

This half-day, workshop-style course will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of your school’s/pupils’ experience of the recent 2019 Year 6 Reading SATs papers and explore tips and ideas to overcome any specific issues ahead of next years' tests.

Bring your own thoughts and ideas about how your pupils responded to this year’s assessment. In this highly effective and practical workshop, you will discuss problem areas in order to establish ways to address potential barriers to success.

Discover a range of effective activities and approaches to use in your school to develop the skills pupils need for next year. These will help any gaps to be plugged, any positive areas to be polished and will help you leave safe in the knowledge that you are fully equipped to answer any questions about:

  • Your pupils’ performance
  • Addressing reading subject-specific vocabulary
  • How to move forward
  • An action plan for next year’s SATs
