About this course

How do you lead? What's your leadership style? Does this change relative to context? How do the most effective leaders balance their values against the need to secure outcomes for pupils, whilst working with adults who have a range of needs, experience and knowledge?

Drawing on the experience of outstanding Senior Leaders, Headteachers and Business Leaders, this programme will enable you to overcome the barriers and challenges you face to ensure that you will achieve your goals.

  • Explore effective ways to bring about positive change and overcome the barriers to leading a successful school
  • Consider how to ensure others work for and with you to achieve your vision by creating a team that it positive and empowered
  • Examine a variety of leadership models and identify your natural leadership style
  • Discover how to adapt your natural leadership style to different situations and how to communicate effectively at every level
  • Consider how best to delegate leadership throughout your team and build your leadership capacity and vision

The programme runs over two non-consecutive days. This allows time to apply the new ideas from day one of the course in your own school, and bring your experiences to the second day.
