About this course

Your Analyse School Performance platform is packed with information that will help you write your SEF and SDP. But interpreting the data to draw key conclusions from the information available can be tricky. This practical, informative workshop will help. During the workshop, our expert consultants can work alongside you again to analyse and interpret your new data to inform school improvement.

Unvalidated Analyse School Performance data is now available for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. So why not book a place at one of our workshops and bring it with you? The ASP platform has also changed to include 3-year trends for absence, exclusions, progress and attainment and additional ‘adjusted’ and ‘unadjusted’ analysis. The workshop will bring you up to speed with these changes and how to use them in your analysis.

Attending this hands-on workshop will enable you to:

  • Learn how to interpret data using the  Analyse School Performance platform.
  • Understanding the new Ofsted Inspection Dashboard Summary Report (IDSR).
  • Unpick the messages behind the data to enable you to write evaluative comments that will inform your SEF and School Improvement Plan.
  • Demystify the key terms and concepts of ‘Analyse School Performance’, including: Attainment, Achievement, Confidence Intervals, Significance, Floor Standards, Average Point Scores, Progress Indicators and the Expected Rate of Progress.
  • Answer the key questions that are most pertinent to your school by interrogating your own Analyse School Performance data.
  • Learn how to harness this information to draw conclusions, formulate hypotheses and inform school improvement.

Please note that this course focuses on Primary age ranges from EYFS to KS2. If you are part of an all-through academy or a MAT that includes secondary, please contact us directly to discuss the suitability of your attendance on the course.

Workshop overview:

1) As a group, we’ll scrutinise example ASP data tables to get to grips with how Analyse School Performance works and to demystify the key terminology used.

2) With the help of our experienced consultant, you’ll interrogate your own data,  to answer the most important questions for your school.

3) You’ll create evaluative comments for your School Evaluation Form (SEF) that are underpinned by an accurate interpretation of data from ASP. You can take these back to your school to help shape your SEF and School Improvement Plan.

This practical workshop will enable you to give a data-rich account of where your school is at the moment, where it needs to go and how it will get there.
