Situation

Futian International and Fine Arts School supports children aged 4-9 (currently, expanding to age 11 as the year groups move through) to access a broad and challenging curriculum through the medium of music, creativity and multiple intelligences across the curriculum.

Based in Shenzhen, China, Futian International and Fine Arts School is located on the same site as a Chinese state-funded school, with which it shares some of its facilities. 

Our solution

In August 2015 we spent an initial 7 days in Shenzhen and delivered the following:

  • Leadership development (vision and mission statement)
  • Policy development (teaching,learning and assessment)
  • Professional development workshops covering writing, maths and assessment.
  • Individual teacher support: differentiation, teaching strategies, behaviour management, pedagogy, assessment, production of learning materials, scheme development, leadership development, suggestions on use of technology, leadership coaching.
