As a primary leader, I work on the premise that collaborative, forward-thinking and positive change in schools can bring a culture of excellence, resulting in thriving schools full of opportunity, empowering both teachers and children. My goal is to make learning fun, with tangible long-term outcomes and encouraging natural curiosity in children. I am a firm believer in equal opportunities for all, alongside creating resilient, independent and positive children as future contributors to society.
My career in education began nearly 10 years ago, working mainly with primary age ranges but with experience in SEBD and secondary mentoring. I am a KS2 Phase Leader, specialising in STEM and Science. I am also a mentor to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching students (BEd and PGCE).
Furthermore, I have worked in a 1:1 mobile technology setting, using iPads and other Apple equipment to enhance children’s learning through technology and minimising teacher workloads.
I specialise in STEM and Science, whilst developing cross curricular schemes of work with the use of technology to enhance and embed learning further. Not only this, but my strengths also lie in SMSC and my focus on developing the whole child to become a well-rounded individual.
I’m a bookworm with a keen interest in historical fiction (actually any reading will do!). I love spending time with my huge family and getting involved in anything that is both adventurous, fun and active! I enjoy travelling and immersive cultural experiences.
