Being involved in TT Education's training for the past few years has taken me from using it in my classroom to leading the approach in my school to delivering training throughout my local authority and beyond. I thoroughly enjoy sharing what I know with others, whether it be a single teacher or an entire school. I always aim to foster confidence in my class, giving children the skills to develop into ambitious, thoughtful and innovative learners.
I have taught for seven years across Key Stage 2 and for the past four years lead year six, achieving record SATs results year on year. As the lead on Talk for Writing, I support all staff across the school, including help with planning and ongoing training.
English and maths. Talk for Learning is essential to enable children (as well as adults) to question, understand and expand ideas. My job is to facilitate these opportunities to enable children to develop their thought processes and become independent learners.
In my free time I enjoy running, whether it be for pleasure or entering a half marathon. I love spending time with my friends and family (especially my wonderful wife!) and going to the cinema or eating out and am keen to observe local wildlife. We are a sociable family and we enjoy being surrounded by our families and friends.
