I love teaching and always have. I feel so lucky to work in an industry where we make decisions about how to improve our pupils' lives, how we can provide them with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to succeed, regardless of their starting points. This drives me to be the best teacher I can be and to expect this of others. As a consultant I feel incredibly lucky to be able to work with a wide range of teachers from across different settings, gathering their expertise and sharing this best practice to ensure our children get the best education we can provide.
I have completed a BA in Classics and a MA in History. I have also completes the NPQSL and numerous other leadership courses at the Institute of Education, the Hackney Learning Trust and the Brent Schools Partnership. I have also completed Maths Mastery training with the West London Maths hub.
I have been a maths leader for over 7 years and have worked extensively with maths hubs across various boroughs to develop maths teaching in different schools. I have also led on Assessment and Curriculum development within my school and across Boroughs.
I enjoy the daily challenge it provides to ensure that you adapt and develop your teaching practice to support all children. I enjoy this problem solving and team work which is required to deliver high quality teaching for all children within our schools.
I enjoy socialising with my friends and family and spending time eating out and being together. I enjoy travelling and am looking forward to a time when we can travel more freely without covid!
