I am a primary school teacher from Braintree and I live with my husband and two children. Life is never quiet! Trying new things, both in and out of the classroom, motivates me. I particularly enjoy supporting trainee teachers and inspiring creative learners – both young and old!
I am in my tenth year of teaching with experience across Key Stage 1 and 2. I currently work as a year 2 teacher and writing leader at The Flitch Green Academy in Little Dunmow. I am also a mentor to PGCE students from Cambridge University. I am lucky to work in a school invested with Apple technology, so aim to support children’s learning through modern methods.
As a Primary teacher, I teach all subjects but currently I am Writing Leader. In previous roles I have led swimming and PSHE across a large junior school. I enjoy teaching music, as it is a subject that I have loved since I was young, learning to play and read music as a child.
Time is precious with young children running around, so I enjoy ‘quiet-time’ with a good book or a night in front of the TV! I enjoy watching films and I am a bit of a sports fan, supporting my local ice hockey team. I enjoy socialising, particularly eating out with friends and family.
