I am an experienced teacher and senior leader in Key Stages 1 and 2. I worked in a variety of settings and I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging to ensure the retention of essential knowledge. I enjoy supporting, coaching and training teachers in their individual career journeys, be it developing systems for coverage and assessment or enhancing strategies for engagement and behaviour. I am motivated and committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to strive, no matter what their background.
I have a degree in Psychology and PGCE in Primary Education. I have worked in all year groups in Key Stage 1 and 2, as well as being a subject leader, Phase Leader and Assistant Head Teacher.
My specialisms are behaviour management, Writing and Computing.
Teaching is a vocation and as cheesy as it sounds, I really do care about the children and colleagues I work with and want to help them achieve their potential.
Outside of work, I like to be creative. I enjoy sewing and making things for my friends and family. I love to get outdoors and enjoy going for walks in the woods or along the seafront with my husband and two boys.
