I have been a headteacher for 22 years and am currently Head of Aylward Primary School in Harrow. I have extensive Headship experience having led an international school in Dubai; set up a brand-new primary school in Swindon and worked as a teaching Headteacher in a village school in Herefordshire. During this time, I have moved schools out of 'Requires Improvement' and have also led schools to 'Outstanding'. Whilst serving as a headteacher, I have been employed as a consultant leader to support a range of schools and am currently working as a school improvement partner for Milton Keynes. I have previously worked as a SIAMS inspector for the Church of England. I have also worked as a School Improvement Partner, Church School Inspector and as a Local Leader in Education to support other schools.
I am also a qualified executive leadership coach (ILM Level 7) and is experienced in offering professional coaching and mentoring to individual leaders, as well as delivering coaching training to school leadership teams.
I am passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of the children he works with. I love seeing children experience those ‘light bulb moments’ that open them up to new learning and understanding. I am also very keen to both support and inspire colleagues to further develop their teaching and leadership expertise.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, walking the family pet dog, travelling and playing for a local cricket team.
