I began working in the TT office in April 2015, although I have done consultancy and worked behind the scenes since its inception.
That's a difficult question to answer! Our work is so varied, that there are any number of things I could be doing in any one day. I could be speaking to teachers on the phone, either offering advice or answering questions. I could be emailing educational resource suppliers to find out about their brand new products and whether they would fit with our ethos and methodology. I could be writing model texts, stories or poems, or liaising with our designer about our latest book, card game or other resource. I could even be out training in Newcastle or Oxford or Southend-on-Sea! The endless variety is one of the things I love about working for TT Education.
As a former secondary English teacher, I love working with teachers and schools, because I honestly believe that education is the greatest gift we can give our children. Being able to support teachers in giving that gift is wonderful, to me. I love writing stories and poems and non-fiction too, so this gives me the best of both worlds.
I have two young children, so my 'time off' generally consists of schools runs, park visits and admiring finger paintings! But I wouldn't change that for the world. I love spending time with my children and evenings in with my husband. I love to read, as well, and I enjoy watching films. Last, but by no means least, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, often playing board games and drinking wine!
